SERVICES  ·   HO'I MAI TRAVEL
You have enough to carry.
Travel coordination
shouldn't be one of them.

A life-changing diagnosis changes everything. Suddenly you are managing treatment schedules, specialist appointments, insurance paperwork, family logistics, work obligations — and somewhere in the middle of all of it, you have to figure out how to get there.

Flights. Hotels. Ground transportation. Travel insurance. A companion who needs their own arrangements. A treatment facility in another city. A family holding their breath at home.

The medical journey is already hard enough. The travel should not be.

Coordinating schedules across time zones.

Finding flights that work around treatment.

Locating hotels near unfamiliar facilities.

Arranging ground transport you can count on.

Navigating travel insurance paperwork.

Coordinating a companion's separate travel.

Managing changes when plans shift.

Doing all of this while managing fear.

THE HO'I MAI PROMISE
One call.
You are not doing
this alone.

From the moment you reach us, your navigator takes everything off your plate. Every flight. Every hotel. Every transfer. Every form. Every detail — before you have to think about it. Your only job is to be present for the people you love.

Typing on Laptop
Everything we handle.
So you don't have to.

Hoʻi Mai coordinates the full spectrum of medical travel logistics — from the moment you call us to the moment you return home. Every service listed below is included in your coordination, handled by your dedicated navigator, and managed with care from start to finish.

Flight Coordination

We source, compare, book, and manage your flights — including companion travel. Business or first class for Luminary members. We handle rebooking when plans change, without adding to your stress.

Hotel & Lodging

Curated hotel selection near your treatment facility. We brief the property before you arrive, confirm room upgrades, and ensure every detail is handled before you check in.

Ground Transportation

Pre-arranged transport from the moment you land to every appointment and back. Your driver has the full itinerary. Nothing is left to chance or rideshare apps on treatment days.

Travel Insurance

We source, compare, recommend, and manage your travel insurance policy. Premium is passed through at cost with no markup. We navigate reimbursement paperwork so you don't have to.

Companion Coordination

Your traveling companion's logistics are coordinated alongside yours — separate flights if needed, their own hotel arrangements, ground transport, and support throughout the stay.

Navigator Support

Your dedicated navigator is available throughout your trip — pre-departure, day-of, during your stay, and on your return. One point of contact. Always responsive. Always on.

For families navigating ongoing treatment, a recurring diagnosis, or multiple trips per year, Luminary Circle membership is designed for you — unlimited coordination, a navigator who knows your history, and white-glove service every time.

What Ho'i Mai
does not do.

We are a travel coordination service. That boundary is absolute — and we hold it with intention. Knowing exactly what we do and don't do allows us to do what we do exceptionally well.

We never handle medical information, make clinical decisions, or cross into healthcare territory of any kind. Your medical team handles your care. We handle everything else.

Hoʻi Mai is not a medical provider, healthcare organization, insurer, or patient advocate. Nothing communicated by Hoʻi Mai constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your licensed healthcare provider.

Medical advice or clinical guidance

We do not advise on treatment, diagnoses, medications, or clinical decisions of any kind.

Medical referrals or provider recommendations

We do not refer clients to specific doctors, specialists, or treatment facilities for medical purposes.

Medical equipment or supplies.

We do not coordinate, source, rent, or arrange medical equipment, devices, or supplies of any kind.

HIPAA-protected information handling

We do not communicate with medical providers regarding treatment, clinical care, or medical records. Any awareness of a client's medical situation obtained during coordination does not create a clinical relationship.

Patient advocacy in clinical settings

We do not act as a patient advocate in any medical or clinical capacity. The white-glove nature of our service does not expand this scope.

MĀLAMA SERIES
Cost should never be
the reason a family

canʻt get there.

The Mālama Series is Hoʻi Mai's subsidized program for qualifying families — providing the same thoughtful travel coordination to those who cannot afford the full cost of service.

We are currently accepting beta participants for the Mālama Series pilot. If you or someone you know may qualify, we invite you to reach out.

Medical Travel Funding

Covering flight, lodging, and ground transport for patients and families who cannot afford the full cost of travel.

Emergency Reunification

Funding rapid-response travel for families facing end-of-life situations or acute medical emergencies.

Caregiver Resources

Wraparound coordination and local resource connections for family caregivers navigating the system from a distance.

The Mālama Series is supported by the Hoʻi Mai Foundation, currently in formation as a 501(c)(3). Beta program is accepting participants now.

PEACE OF MIND
You deserve
to be taken care of.

The medical journey asks everything of you. Hoʻi Mai asks only one thing in return — let us handle the rest. One call, an you will not be doing this alone.
